Zombies – Tutor Dasher

Wolfhound is an indie game that has been on my radar for a while now, making it onto both our 2025 and 2026 most anticipated lists. While an official release date is still pending, signs point to a possible launch towards the end of this year. A recent playthrough of a build has only added to the excitement surrounding this retro-inspired title. Developed by Bit Kit, Wolfhound draws inspiration from classics like Metroid and Wolfenstein. Players take on the role of Chuck Rosetti, an all-American WWII captain sent to investigate a Bermuda island where the Nazis are conducting sinister experiments. The game's 8-bit aesthetic, vibrant color palette, Emulogic-style font, and catchy chiptunes evoke nostalgia for the days of old-school gaming. Watch on YouTube Despite its retro look, Wolfhound offers a level of detail and gameplay that surpasses the capabilities of the NES. Instead, it draws comparisons to systems like the Sega Master System and NEC PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16. The game features intricately designed levels, including a jungle, a purple mine, and the corridors of a Nazi castle. Players will navigate these interconnected areas, uncovering new weapons and upgrades along the way.
