"We are thrilled to collaborate with Microsoft to prolong the lifespan of Xbox consoles and reduce electronic waste," stated Elizabeth Chamberlain, iFixit's director of sustainability, in a message to The Verge. "We now provide official Microsoft parts and detailed repair instructions for Xbox Series S and Series X, including both the all-digital and disk drive versions." In addition to Xbox parts, iFixit's Microsoft Repair Hub also showcases parts for repairing Microsoft Surface devices, which they began selling in 2023. Chamberlain expressed her enthusiasm, saying, "Since the launch of our Surface parts partnership with Microsoft last year, we have been assisting customers in repairing their Microsoft laptops and tablets.
