The latest reports suggest that Apple is planning to upgrade its budget iPhone models to feature 120 Hz LTPO panels in the near future. While the upcoming iPhone 18e is not expected to have any significant display changes, the iPhone 19e, set to launch in early 2028, may introduce this new display technology. LTPO (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) displays have been powering Apple's iPhone "ProMotion" feature since the iPhone 13 Pro. This technology offers a faster refresh rate and an Always-On Display capability compared to older models using LTPS (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon).
