Outbound, the highly anticipated game from Square Glade Games, was originally set to release on April 23rd but was delayed to May 14th due to an issue. However, a positive turn of events has now led to an earlier release date. With Subnautica 2 Early Access announcing a release date of May 14th, Square Glade Games has decided to move the Outbound release date forward to May 11th to avoid a clash. The PS5 and Switch releases will still be on May 14th.
Square Glade Games released a statement explaining the decision, stating, “We are excited for the release of Subnautica 2 on May 14th, but we believe it’s best to avoid competition with such a highly anticipated title. Therefore, Outbound will now launch on May 11th on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox, with other consoles following on May 14th. Please note that the demo will be taken offline on May 8th.”
Outbound offers players the chance to explore a peaceful world in a camper, with the option to upgrade and customize their vehicle for a comfortable journey. Players can also adopt a pet to accompany them on their road trip, and the game supports four-player co-op for a shared adventure. Outbound will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series XS, Switch, and Switch 2.
