OnePlus Nord 6: In summary
- Officially teased and likely to be released in April
- A price increase may be on the cards
- Likely to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset
- A huge 9000mAh battery could feature in some territories
The OnePlus Nord range has long been one of the go-to recommendations when talking about the latest mid-range phones, and the OnePlus Nord 5 was no exception.
With 2026 in full swing, however, we’re all wondering how OnePlus might look to elevate things even further in a successor, and if early rumours are anything to go by, we could be in for something special with the OnePlus Nord 6.
Even though it was something of a downgrade in the design department (the OnePlus Nord 4 was far more exciting there), the OnePlus Nord 5 is still one of the best mid-range smartphones, and with a tempting price tag of just £399/€449, it’s quite surprising just how much you can get for your money.
We’ve just had a boatload of leaks about the Nord 6 detailing when it will arrive, along with colourways, specs and more. Here is everything we know so far based on rumours and our expert analysis.

Is the OnePlus Nord 6 launching earlier than usual?
In summary
- All signs point to an earlier release than usual on April 7
- Every previous OnePlus Nord model arrived in July
If the latest rumours are true then the OnePlus Nord 6 will be unveiled in the first week of April, with 7 April the ‘likely’ date.
This time frame comes from none other than renowned tipster Yogesh Brar, who leaked it alongside a boatload of information about the phone.
Even if the OnePlus Nord 6 launch doesn’t fall on exactly 7 April, it’s unlikely to fall too far away from it due to a handful of reasons. For starters, we’ve already seen that the Nord 6 has been certified in several places, including India, which typically means that a launch is imminent.
OnePlus itself has also started to tease the existence of the Nord 6. When typing ‘OnePlus Nord 6’ into Google, the search engine features a result on the OnePlus website with the header ‘OnePlus Nord 6 Launch’. Clicking on the listing will take you to a landing page that features an upcoming phone partially hidden by a silhouette (below).

OnePlus India also sent out a post from its X account in mid-March, with the accompanying text: “Entering the Nord era soon” and an X-ray image showing the phone inside a bag (see it further below in the specs section).
Longtime Nord fans might have already spotted that this marks a departure from OnePlus’ usual strategy as every phone in the mid-range series has launched in July. By bringing the launch forward, the Nord 6 will be entering the space not too soon after the Pixel 10a and around the same time as the rumoured Samsung Galaxy A57.
As you can see below, the usual launch window for the Nord series phones is consistently July.
- OnePlus Nord 5 – July 2025
- OnePlus Nord 4 – July 2024
- OnePlus Nord 3 – July 2023
- OnePlus Nord 2 – July 2021
- OnePlus Nord – July 2020

Will the Nord 6 cost more than the Nord 5?
In summary
- New rumours point towards a price increase
- Unlikely to be any less than £399/€449
Sorry OnePlus fans, it appears as if the Nord 6 could launch with a price increase over its predecessor, according to recent rumours.
Aforementioned tipster Yogesh Brar has also pointed out that the Nord 6 might have a higher price tag in India, jumping by roughly Rs 3-5K (£25-45). Although a price increase is never welcome, it’s not entirely surprising given the current state of the world economy and how we’ve seen that impact the going rates for recent phones like the Samsung Galaxy S26 range.
The OnePlus Nord 5 retailed at £399, which allowed it to undercut Google’s mid-range phone and compete directly with the likes of the Honor 400 and the Nothing Phone (3a).
A price increase would instead have the Nord 6 butting heads with the Google Pixel 10a, Nothing Phone (4a) Pro and Samsung Galaxy A57.
The price of the Nord range has fluctuated quite a bit over the years, as you can see below:
- OnePlus Nord 5 – £399/€449
- OnePlus Nord 4 – £429/€499
- OnePlus Nord 3 – £499/€499
- OnePlus Nord 2 – £399/€399
- OnePlus Nord – £379/€399
