iOS 26 developer beta 3 has been released by Apple after four weeks of unveiling the major software redesign for iPhone. This update promises a stunning new design, powerful Apple Intelligence capabilities, and exciting updates to various apps such as Phone, Messages, CarPlay, Apple Music, Maps, and Wallet.
In the previous beta version, iOS 26 beta 2, there were design tweaks and improvements in legibility for Control Center, Safari menu organization, and accessibility options. However, some concerns still remain, such as total transparency of Notification Center and a strange left-align icon situation in the dock for devices with fewer than four apps.
As we move closer to the target release date, which is just two months away, performance will be evaluated in beta 3. In July, Apple plans to release the first public beta version of iOS 26 for customers who want to test the pre-release software with less risk than the developer beta. Older iPhone models like iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max will not be compatible with iOS 26, requiring users to upgrade to newer models for the latest features and design. However, older iPhones will still receive security updates for some time.
