It seems that xAI’s Grokipedia, an AI-generated online encyclopedia once hailed by Elon Musk as a potential rival to Wikipedia, has not seen any updates since April 24th, as reported by Lawfare. According to Lawfare, there have been no changes to any entries for over three months.
Grokipedia was first launched in version 0.1 in October 2025 with 885,000 articles. It has since been updated to version 0.2 in November 2025, boasting over 6,000,000 articles according to grokipedia.com/live. However, the live page currently shows no recent edits under the “Recent changes to…” section.
While users can still suggest articles and edits for Grokipedia, Lawfare discovered that popular and unpopular pages alike have not been receiving updates. In a sample of 34,519 pages with suggested edits, totaling 225,496 recommendations, no corrections have been accepted or rejected in the past three months, as reported by Lawfare.
Requests for comment from xAI have gone unanswered. Speculation on platforms like Reddit and X suggest that Grokipedia may be inactive. Musk’s last mention of Grokipedia on X dates back to February, as noted by Lawfare.
