Deadzone: Rogue 2 moves the series from space stations to ruined Earth

Prophecy Games Announces Deadzone: Rogue 2

Prophecy Games have announced Deadzone: Rogue 2, a sequel that builds on the foundation of Deadzone: Rogue, which gained a strong following thanks to its frantic FPS combat, roguelite progression systems, and co-op gameplay.

This time, however, the setting changes dramatically. Instead of fighting through isolated space stations, Deadzone: Rogue 2 throws players into a devastated post-apocalyptic Earth overrun by a massive mechanical army controlled by an entity known as Monarch.

The gameplay itself looks noticeably larger in scale as well. Combat appears faster, more explosive, and more dynamic, with bigger battlefields and more aggressive enemy encounters compared to the original game.

Co-op remains a major focus too. Deadzone: Rogue 2 supports up to three-player online multiplayer, allowing squads to tackle runs together while experimenting with different builds and playstyles. For a genre built around replayability, that kind of cooperative chaos can make a huge difference in long-term appeal.

A free demo for Deadzone: Rogue 2 is expected to launch very soon across PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
