The recent launch of AST SpaceMobile’s BlueBird 7 satellite aboard Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket had mixed results. The New Glenn successfully landed on its pad for the second time, marking a milestone for reusable launch vehicles. However, AST SpaceMobile faced disappointment as the satellite was placed in a lower orbit than intended, rendering it non-operational.
Despite initial power-up, the satellite’s low altitude makes it impossible to maintain operations with its thruster technology, leading to its eventual de-orbiting.
Jeff Bezos shared a video of the landing on X platform without any accompanying statement.
