Apple recently released iOS 26.4 for iPhone with new emoji, Apple Music updates, and more. Now, it seems that iOS 26.4.1 is on the horizon.
iOS 26.4.1 is imminent
According to visitor logs on 9to5Mac, Apple employees are currently testing iOS 26.4.1 internally. The first signs of the update appeared last week, with an increasing number of visitors since then. MacRumors has also noted evidence of iOS 26.4.1 in their analytics.
This is typically a reliable indicator of upcoming iPhone software updates, although there is always a possibility that Apple may change its plans and not release iOS 26.4.1 to the public.
While the specifics of iOS 26.4.1 are not yet known, the update will likely focus on bug fixes and performance enhancements. iOS 26.4 included various new features for Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Reminders, and more.
Apple is currently beta testing iOS 26.5 for iPhone, which is a smaller update with changes to Apple Maps, the App Store, Messages, and other areas.
Additionally, Apple is expected to roll out an update for Studio Display XDR users this week, introducing a new Medical Imaging Calibrator feature for macOS. It’s possible that Apple may release iOS 26.4.1 and macOS 26.4.1 simultaneously with this new feature.
