Apple has just unveiled the latest iOS 26.5 RC build, showcasing three exciting updates for iPhone users. The official release of iOS 26.5 is expected to roll out next week.

First and foremost, here’s a brief overview of the new features in iOS 26.5:
This update introduces end-to-end encrypted RCS (beta) messaging, a downloadable Pride Luminance wallpaper, as well as various enhancements, bug fixes, and security updates for your iPhone.
Furthermore, Apple provides a more detailed breakdown of these changes:
- End-to-end encrypted RCS messaging (beta) in Messages is now available with supported carriers and will be gradually rolled out.
- Enjoy the dynamic Pride Luminance wallpaper that refracts a spectrum of colors, available for download.
- Suggested Places in Maps will now display recommendations based on trending locations nearby and your recent searches.
In addition, Apple has announced the introduction of ads in Apple Maps for the United States and Canada, which will be launched later this summer and will not be automatically integrated into iOS 26.5.
