Wild Sheep Studio and publisher PQube have unveiled a new trailer and release window for Adorable Adventures – a game that truly lives up to its charming name! Players will take on the role of Boris, a curious baby boar on a mission to reunite with his lost family. Adorable Adventures is set to launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC later this year, with a Steam demo currently available.
Isn’t Boris just the cutest? After being separated from his family in a forest fire, Boris embarks on a journey to find them. Utilizing his keen sense of smell, Boris must navigate through scents of flowers, mushrooms, honeycomb, and more – gradually uncovering subtle notes to locate his siblings. Accompanied by the voiceover of park ranger Maxime, players will witness a captivating storytelling experience that adapts to their actions. Additionally, players can discover journal entries from Maxime and adorn Boris with various accessories.
Despite his youth, Boris easily gets sidetracked. The game features time trial races, photography challenges, park cleanup tasks, and a local mystery waiting to be solved.
Wild Sheep Studio is no stranger to this genre of games. Initially established to work on WILD with Michel Ancel and Ubisoft Paris in 2013, the studio shifted its focus to smaller projects following the cancellation of the aforementioned game. With Adorable Adventures, the team ventured into the Cévennes National Park near their Southern France base, capturing 3D scans of local flora and fauna, as well as ambient field recordings to authentically recreate the forest ambiance.
