You’re Under Arrest OVA to Receive HD Blu-Ray Release in 2026
The 1994 OVA of You’re Under Arrest (Taiho Shichau zo) is set to make a comeback with an upcoming HD Blu-Ray release scheduled for next year.
The series revolves around two female officers from the Bokuto Police Department. Miyuki Kobayakawa is a skilled mechanic who enjoys customizing vehicles, while Natsumi Tsujimoto is a spirited tomboy who often finds herself in trouble, testing Miyuki’s modified cars to their limits.
Joining the duo is a diverse supporting cast, including Yoriko Nikaidou, a dispatcher known for the popular “eto… bleh” meme in Western fandom.
Created by renowned manga artist Kousuke Fujisawa, known for his work on Oh! My Goddess!, You’re Under Arrest has garnered a dedicated fanbase over the years.
Although the Blu-Ray release is currently exclusive to Japan, there are hopes for an English subtitled version targeting the Asian market. Fans fluent in Japanese or avid collectors can pre-order the Blu-Ray, set to launch on January 28, 2026.
