The Pixel Watch 3 may be the much-needed upgrade to Google’s wearable lineup, but the previous generation Pixel Watch 2 still holds its own as a solid option. And right now, you can snag one for as low as $224 ($26 off) at both Amazon and Best Buy.
While the Pixel Watch 3 boasts several enhancements like a larger and brighter display, a new 44mm size, AI-powered workout suggestions, and offline Google Maps, the Pixel Watch 2 is no slouch in terms of looks. It may only come in a 41mm size, but its usable display area is only slightly smaller than its successor. Additionally, it runs on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear W5 Gen 1 chip, although it lacks the ultra wideband chip for unlocking nearby Pixel devices and select BMW vehicles.
In terms of performance and battery life, both models are quite similar, with the 41mm models averaging around 24 hours per charge. The main differences lie in the new workout features exclusive to the Watch 3 and a screen that’s reportedly twice as bright. If these features don’t justify the $350 price tag for the Watch 3, the Watch 2 is still a great choice with many once-exclusive Wear OS 5 features now available on it.
