Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties adds a new Bad Boy Dragon mode

Ryu Ga Gotoku studio and their English localization team are walking a tightrope with some newly unveiled features and game modes for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties. Unveiled in a recent live showcase for the game are the Bad Boy Dragon mode for Kiwami 3, and Hell’s Arena in the Dark Ties bundled spin-off.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a remake of the third installment in the beloved crime drama series, bringing back the PS3 original with a touch of modernization and fresh content. As Kiryu endeavors to protect Okinawa’s Morning Glory Orphanage from those seeking to evict him and the children, he will delve into the new Bad Boy Dragon mode.

Morning Glory and Bad (Boy) Dragon? Interesting!

So, what exactly is Bad Boy Dragon all about? Essentially, Kiryu will join forces with and lead the Haisai Girls gang to dominance. You’ll recruit allies and train them to challenge the toughest gangs in the nation, engage in turf wars for control, participate in Baddies Battles with a small party of five, or engage in a 20-member Rumble. Additionally, you can mount your motorcycles and launch raids on enemy bases. The level of customization available here promises to be a captivating time sink.

Then there’s Dark Ties, where Yoshitaka Mine strives to enhance his reputation and ascend the ranks. This serves as a fresh side story to the main Yakuza 3 narrative, with the newly unveiled Hell’s Arena underground fight club awaiting players. Your objective is to partake in 1v1 Hellish Brawls and treacherous races to evade hunters in a dungeon filled with treasures in Survival Hell.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is scheduled for release on February 12, 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
