A World of Warcraft content creator recently made the decision to stop engaging in “bot killing” after receiving serious threats from gold sellers in Taiwan and Russia.
The YouTuber, known as Madskillzzhc, gained popularity for his series where he eliminates bots in the challenging Hardcore servers of World of Warcraft. Eliminating bots not only disrupts the operations of gold sellers, but also prevents them from accessing valuable in-game items and currency, causing significant setbacks for them.
In a video announcement, Madskillzzhc revealed his intention to discontinue all activities related to bot killing and mentioned plans to remove his videos in the near future. Despite this announcement, the videos are still currently available for viewing. You can watch his video below.
Blizzard has been making efforts to combat bots and gold sellers through large-scale bans and the introduction of the “WoW Token”. This token allows players to exchange real money for in-game gold, with the exchange rate determined by player demand. However, the Classic and Hardcore servers, with their smaller economies, have become prime targets for gold sellers.
World of Warcraft can be played on Microsoft Windows through Battle.net. The latest expansion, The War Within, is now available!
