Using the Golden Fan in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
In Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the Golden Fan, like other unique reward items, is utilized by Dampe, the mechanic, to create a new automaton for Princess Zelda.
These automatons are powerful combat tools that eliminate monsters in spectacular ways but require regular winding and maintenance.
Once you have completed main story arcs in Gerudo Sanctum and Jabul Waters and returned to Hyrule Castle, you will encounter Dampe in Hyrule Field, north of Hyrule Ranch.
You can then visit Dampe in his workshop located in Eastern Hyrule Field to begin crafting automatons. The initial automaton is formed by combining two Echoes, while subsequent automatons require unique items obtained from mini-games in Echoes of Wisdom.
Upon completing three side quests to create additional automatons, you will embark on a final side quest where you can finally use the Golden Fan – despite it being one of the first unique items you acquire!
Ultimately, you will discover the purpose of the Golden Fan as you progress in the game. If you are still in the early stages, continue with the main story to naturally reach Dampe’s workshop during your journey!
