Ramen VR Lowers Price for Final Content Update of Zenith VR Game
Ramen VR, the developer behind the VR MMORPG Zenith: The Last City, recently announced that it would be halting further development on the game due to difficulties in retaining players. As a parting gift to its loyal fanbase, the game has received its final content update along with a significant price reduction.
Update (August 29th, 2024): Ramen VR has released the last content drop for Zenith. The Season 4: Golden Isles update was influenced by player feedback from the Zenith Discord and customer feedback portal. This update includes new content for the free-to-play section Infinite Realms, bug fixes, new layouts, cosmetics, and improvements to gameplay elements.
To bid farewell, the paid DLC for Zenith: The Last City has been discounted from $30 to $10, now available on all major VR headsets. The team expressed gratitude to the community for their support and encouraged players to continue creating memories in Zenith.
In addition, the game will host “nostalgic community events” from September 6th-8th to celebrate the game’s legacy. Read the original article below for more details on the development shutdown.
Original Article (July 15th, 2024): Ramen VR explained in a video the challenges that led to the decision to stop Zenith development. Despite initial success and significant funding, the game struggled to retain players, ultimately leading to financial losses.
The studio’s efforts to attract paid users through the release of Infinite Realms were not enough to sustain the game. Despite this, Ramen VR assured the community that servers for both the paid and free versions of Zenith will remain operational for the foreseeable future.
