Verizon Network Issue Causes Service Disruption for Customers
Verizon has acknowledged a network issue that has affected customers both in stores and online on Saturday. Many users have reported difficulties in making or receiving calls, with DownDetector registering over 20,000 reports around 3:30PM ET. While some customers have experienced uninterrupted service, the exact cause of the problem remains unclear.
Downdetector’s outage map displayed hotspots in various cities, although Verizon did not specify the impacted areas. In response to inquiries, the @VerizonSupport account on X confirmed the issue but did not provide further information on restoration efforts or the scope of the disruption.
Karen Schulz from Verizon responded to inquiries via email, confirming the outage and stating, “We are aware of a software issue impacting wireless service for some customers. Our engineers are engaged in resolving the problem swiftly. Please check our Network Status page for updates on service availability in your area. We understand the importance of Verizon’s services and apologize for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your patience.”
Any updates or changes to the situation will be reflected in this post.
