Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Update
Exciting news for fans of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2! Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room have listened to feedback and decided to include the Lasombra and Toreador clans in the base game, rather than as premium DLC. This decision comes after criticism of the initial plans to make these clans premium content. The game is set to be released on October 21st, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
White Wolf Executive Vice President, Marco Behrmann, expressed gratitude to the community for their feedback, which led to this change. He also announced that two Story Packs will be created and released in 2026 as part of an Expansion Pass or with the Premium Edition.
With the addition of the Lasombra and Toreador clans, players will now have access to six clans in total – Banu Haqim, Brujah, Lasombra, Toreador, Tremere, and Ventrue. These clans act as character classes in the game.
The two new stories, “Loose Cannon” and “The Flower & the Flame,” will provide players with unique perspectives and narratives to explore. These Story Packs can be purchased separately or as part of the Expansion Pass or Premium Edition.
In addition to the Story Packs, there is a Santa Monica Memories cosmetic pack available for players, featuring decor items inspired by the original Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines game.
Physical Day One and limited Premium Editions will be released in collaboration with PLAION, including character cards, a journal, and a steelbook case.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has undergone significant development changes, including a shift in narrative and gameplay mechanics. The game now follows the story of Phyre, an Elder Vampire, offering a different experience from the original game.
Despite these changes, the game promises to deliver an immersive and engaging vampire experience for both fans of the series and newcomers alike.
