Bandai Namco has unveiled a new trailer for Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree, their visually stunning roguelike game featuring a twin hero mechanic. The game is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on September 19th.
Transporting players to an oriental realm where the malevolent forces of the god Magatsu pose a threat to Shinju Village, a band of heroes has united under the leadership of Towa, a divine child spearheading the battle for survival.
The game boasts eight guardians, from which players select a duo to embark on each thrilling run. Among these guardians are Rekka and Nishiki, with Rekka excelling in swordplay and AoE attacks, while Nishiki, a aquatic being, showcases impressive agility despite being unable to swim. Both characters are designed to be accessible to players of all skill levels.
Throughout your adventures, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire Graces, unique abilities that can be chosen from a randomized pool. In between runs, players can explore a bustling village complete with engaging minigames and side quests that contribute to overall progression.
