Aspyr Media Announces Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered for Multiple Platforms

Following the success of the original trilogy remaster, Aspyr Media has exciting news for Tomb Raider fans. Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 14th February 2025.

The fourth installment, The Last Revelation, takes Lara Croft on a thrilling adventure to uncover the lost tomb of the Egyptian God Set. The story continues with Lara presumed dead after saving the world, leading to Tomb Raider: Chronicles where family and friends reminisce about her past adventures.

Transitioning to the PlayStation 2 era, Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness introduces new gameplay elements such as a stamina meter, melee attacks, and stealth mechanics. Despite facing development challenges, the game sold well but received mixed reviews, prompting Eidos to pass the series to Crystal Dynamics.

Aspyr’s remastered trilogy includes modern updates like enhanced graphics, new control options, boss health bars, and integrated trophies and achievements. Fans can enjoy both classic and revamped visuals, along with a choice between classic tank controls or modern camera controls.

The Darkness trilogy will be priced at $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99, mirroring the cost of the original remastered trilogy. In our review of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, we highlighted the nostalgic value of the collection while noting the adjustment needed for the dated controls.
