Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney Calls Out Big Tech Companies for Alleged Support of Trump

Epic Games founder and CEO Tim Sweeney has criticized big tech companies for allegedly aligning themselves with President-Elect Donald Trump.

Sweeney took to social media to express his concerns, accusing tech leaders of switching their political allegiances to curry favor with the incoming administration.

He warned against what he called a “scummy monopoly campaign” aimed at undermining competition laws and harming consumers and competitors.

Sweeney continued to highlight the perceived hypocrisy of big tech figures who have recently supported Trump’s inauguration, including Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Apple, and Google.

He also pointed out the irony of Google and Apple’s attempts to block his game sales on their platforms while publicly endorsing Trump.

Meanwhile, Disney’s recent actions to remove politically charged content from its projects have also raised eyebrows, with Sweeney criticizing the company’s perceived shift in values.

As big tech companies seemingly follow suit, Sweeney remains vocal in his criticism of what he sees as opportunistic political maneuvers.
