Throne and Liberty’s Steam Deck anti-cheat malady seems cured for now

Throne and Liberty’s recent release has been a huge success, quickly climbing the Steam charts. However, there were some unexpected issues with the game on the Steam Deck. Despite working fine in previous betas, some players were experiencing problems with Easy Anti-Cheat kicking them from servers. This was due to a lack of support for the Linux-powered SteamOS in the final release build.

Thankfully, the issue seems to have been resolved as of October 2nd. Players can now enjoy Throne and Liberty on their Steam Deck devices without any problems, aside from the unusual number of players turning into wolves in the game.

It appears that either the developers or publishers failed to enable Easy Anti-Cheat support for SteamOS, causing the error. This oversight led to players being unable to access online play. Fortunately, no players were banned for attempting to play on the Steam Deck.

Throne and Liberty is now running smoothly on the Steam Deck, with good performance and playable controls. While there are some minor issues with UI text size, the game runs well above 30fps on Low settings. Adjusting the FSR upscaling to Quality mode can improve the character models’ appearance.
