These EVs come with the best free charging deals

Charging an electric vehicle is becoming more convenient and faster, although it still lags behind the ease of filling up at a gas station. Despite this, many EV manufacturers are offering discounted or free charging to make the transition more appealing for consumers. These cost-saving incentives often include access to prominent charging networks like Electrify America or EVgo.

This trend was started by Tesla, which initially offered free Supercharger access to its customers. The idea is simple: when you purchase an EV from certain manufacturers, you receive a complimentary subscription or access to a charging network where you can fast charge your vehicle at no additional cost.

Which EV manufacturers are currently offering free charging to customers who buy their vehicles? Let’s take a closer look at some of the key players in the market. Keep in mind that if a manufacturer is not listed here, it is unlikely that they offer any form of free charging with their electric vehicles. However, manufacturers often run promotional deals that may include free charging, so it’s always worth checking with the specific brand.

On the other hand, the Audi Q4 e-tron includes 250kWh of free charging within the first two years of ownership, also at Electrify America.

BMW

BMW’s free charging offers vary based on the model purchased, and the details can be a bit complex. The 2024 BMW i4, i5, and iX models come with free charging at Electrify America stations for the first 30 minutes of each session, valid for two years after the vehicle purchase. The 2025 iterations of these models offer 1000kWh of complimentary charging within two years, also at Electrify America.

The BMW i7 has different deals in place as well. The 2024 i7 provides unlimited free charging for three years at Electrify America stations, while the 2025 model offers 2000kWh of free charging at Electrify America, usable within three years of purchase. BMW estimates this to cover 6,000 miles of driving based on EPA values for the i7.
