The Super Mario Galaxy Movie reveals final trailer and more cast

Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment have unveiled the final trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in anticipation of its highly anticipated global debut.

The latest trailer also introduced three additional key cast members: Luis Guzman portraying Wart, Issa Rae as Honey Queen, and Donald Glover lending his voice to Yoshi.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is an animated feature inspired by the beloved Super Mario Bros. universe, following the success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie in 2023, which grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide. Both films are a collaborative effort between Chris Meledandri from Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto from Nintendo. Universal Pictures and Nintendo are co-financing the project, with Universal Pictures handling global distribution.

The movie is helmed by returning directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, with Matthew Fogel returning as the screenwriter and Brian Tyler composing the score once again.

The star-studded cast includes Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr., Donald Glover as Yoshi, Issa Rae as Honey Queen, Luis Guzmán as Wart, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, and Brie Larson as Rosalina.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is scheduled for a worldwide premiere on April 1st, 2026, exclusively in theaters.
