Killasoft, the developer behind The Shadow Syndicate, has unveiled their latest creation – a stealth action game set in 1930’s Brooklyn. The reveal trailer, showcased at the Future Games Show LATAM, gives viewers a glimpse of the gameplay and the noir atmosphere characteristic of detective games from the 1930s.
Described as a narrative-driven stealth-action game, The Shadow Syndicate transports players to a stylized 1930s Brooklyn. Players assume the role of Sam Marlowe, a retired soldier turned private detective, as he delves into a city-wide conspiracy involving secret societies, occult forces, and an encroaching darkness. The game promises a cinematic experience blending noir storytelling with supernatural abilities and fast-paced action. Players will utilize the cursed Sacrifice Ring to unleash powerful skills, albeit at a cost. Between missions, players can explore the living open city, interact with colorful characters, partake in mini-games, and uncover hidden mysteries.
The gameplay of The Shadow Syndicate involves investigating areas for clues, solving puzzles in a notebook, interrogating characters for information, and engaging in gunfights. Combat mechanics include bullet time and supernatural abilities that enable Sam to stun, teleport, or eliminate enemies instantly. However, the use of these abilities comes with a deadly curse that will impact Sam. Players can also embark on side quests or enjoy recreational activities like bowling, darts, or blackjack in Brooklyn.
While a release date for The Shadow Syndicate is pending confirmation, the game is set to launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series XS, and Switch 2.
