The Outlast Trials Introduces New PvP Mode ‘Invasion’
The Outlast Trials has introduced a new game mode called Invasion in its latest update. This permanent addition brings PvP to the multiplayer horror game for the first time, coinciding with the return of the time-limited Program Geister catalogue of Halloween outfits.
Invasion Mode allows players to either play as Reagents or invade games as an Imposter. Imposters have a limited time to take down a target before they must head back to the nearest Insertion Gate or face consequences. They have unique advantages such as being able to see the noise made by Reagents and being immune to certain effects, but they cannot pick up items.
At the end of a match, Imposters will be evaluated based on their performance in inflicting damage, slaying Reagents, and surviving their turn. It’s a unique twist on the typical asymmetrical horror multiplayer game.
Additionally, two new MK Challenges have been added:
Beguile the Children
The television screen is the retina of the mind’s eye, where anything is true and everything is possible. Take control of the broadcast, reshape the subliminal message, and we will let you out.
Investigate the Minotaur
Corporate power and dynastic wealth are the cornerstone of free societies. Find evidence of the Buffalo Minotaur’s crimes, bring it to the press, and we will let you out.
The Geister limited time event is now live for Halloween, allowing players to earn tokens for completing Trials and Geister Tasks. Tokens can be used to unlock exclusive cosmetics during the event, which runs until November 18th.
