Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent brings the Descent board game to videogames

Artefacts Studio and New Tale have recently unveiled the very first video game adaptation of Fantasy Flight Games’ renowned Descent board game. This exciting new game, titled Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent, will offer a fresh storyline independent from the board game, making it a thrilling experience for Descent fans and a welcoming entry point for newcomers.

Set one year prior to the events of Descent: Legends of the Dark, Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent will delve deeper into the lore of the world while introducing new and captivating events. Players can expect a turn-based RPG gameplay experience, along with the opportunity to explore various dungeons alongside a group of heroic characters. Furthermore, gamers can choose to engage in the full campaign or opt for self-contained questlines that offer shorter gameplay experiences, all of which can be enjoyed solo or in cooperative multiplayer mode.

“Stepping into the world of Terrinoth as fans of Descent has been an incredible and fulfilling journey,” expressed Bruno Chabanel, the CEO of Artefacts Studio. “With Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent, our goal was to capture the essence of a suspenseful tabletop dungeon crawl and translate it into a tactical RPG that seamlessly transitions to PC and consoles, complete with a multiplayer cooperative mode to replicate the immersive atmosphere of the board game. Easy to pick up yet endlessly strategic, the game offers players a multitude of synergies and builds to explore.”

A demo version of Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent is now available on Steam for players to get a taste of what’s to come before its anticipated launch this Spring on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series XS platforms.
