Indie developer Maison Bap has announced a release date for YAPYAP, their new magical co-op horror game where you storm a rival wizard’s tower. YAPYAP is set to launch early next month for Windows PC (via Steam), on February 3rd. Here’s a rundown on the game, plus a new trailer: A magic-themed co-op horror game where you and up to 5 friends are minions summoned by a wizard to break into their rival’s towers to cause mayhem. Try to fulfill your vandalism target with an assortment of spells while avoiding magical beasts and monsters that protect the tower. Features VANDALIZE – Break their piano, clog their toilets, pee on their rug – do anything in your power to ruin the archmage’s day. Every inconvenience you create gives you more points towards your vandalism target for the night. CAST UNIQUE SPELLS – Find and use magic way beyond your understanding to push, pull, smash, launch, float, teleport, clone, confuse, disguise, fishify and more. Work together with your teammates to create a sandbox of chaos. USE YOUR VOICE – Use your voice to cast wizardly incantations – enunciation matters so you better keep your voice steady no matter how dire the circumstances. ESCAPE THE TOWER – You are not alone in the tower – there are all sorts of creatures patrolling the halls. Some are created to protect their study. Others are horrifying results of their magical experiments. There are even creatures of darkness unbeknownst to the archmage themselves.
