Volvo is gearing up to launch its latest innovation, the ES90 electric vehicle, on 5 March. This new car will be equipped with dual Nvidia Drive AGX Orin hardware, marking a significant step forward in safety and performance through data, software, and artificial intelligence (AI). The Superset tech stack, which Volvo has been developing, is at the core of this groundbreaking launch. This tech stack consists of a unified set of hardware and software modules that will underpin all future electric cars from Volvo. The Nvidia Drive AGX Orin hardware will provide an impressive 508 trillion operations per second for AI-based features, sensors, and battery management. The ES90 will be equipped with advanced sensors, including lidar, radars, cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and a driver understanding system to enhance safety measures such as collision avoidance.
