If you use Apple Cash, you may need to prepare for an upcoming change as Apple has announced an increase in fees for instant transfers starting next month. While you can still opt for a traditional ACH bank transfer with no fees, the cost for Apple's instant transfers through the debit card network will be higher. Currently, instant transfers incur a fee of 1.5% with a minimum of $0.25 and a maximum of $15. After February 18, the fee will increase to 1.7% with a maximum of $25, affecting larger transfers more significantly. There are no fees for sending and receiving money with Apple Cash, and additional features like Tap-to-Cash and virtual card numbers provide flexibility for users. While Apple Cash is staying with Green Dot Bank amid changes in payment networks, international expansion remains uncertain due to regulatory challenges.
