Armatus: A New Third-Person Roguelite Game Set in Paris Fictions and Counterplay Games, the developers behind Godfall, have recently unveiled their latest project - Armatus. This upcoming game takes players on a thrilling journey through the demon-infested streets of Paris in a third-person roguelite experience. While initially showcased during the Xbox Partner Preview event, Armatus has been confirmed for release on PC, PS5, and the upcoming Switch 2. Additionally, it will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. In Armatus, players assume the role of a mysterious warrior summoned to protect a group of individuals stranded on Earth after a cataclysmic event. The veil between worlds has opened, separating the worthy from the forsaken, leaving the latter at the mercy of demonic forces. As the unnamed warrior navigates the perilous streets of Paris, they must battle hordes of demons and uncover the truth behind the mysterious events, facing death repeatedly in the process. “With Armatus, we aimed to blend modern firearms, supernatural abilities, and melee combat to deliver a dynamic gameplay experience,” explained Ming Zhang, Studio Head at Counterplay Games. “By offering a variety of build options for each playthrough, we have crafted a frenetic combat system that defines the essence of our game." “We are excited to collaborate with Ming and the talented team at Counterplay Games to bring Armatus to fruition,” added Kelsey Hansen, Producer at Fictions. “This game offers intense, fast-paced combat that truly immerses players in a thrilling experience.
