Police in Nottinghamshire arrested the teenager after Border Force officials seized the package before it could be delivered. Laws regarding knives and other weapons are infamously draconian in the United Kingdom where individuals have been arrested for brandishing keychains and toys. Most famously, British police once proudly showed off a spoon they had seized in a weapons sweep, thankfully they were able to get the utensil off the street before anyone got seriously scooped. In a 12 month period ending in March 2023, there were 244 fatal stabbings in England and Wales and 101 of those were committed with readily available household kitchen knives.
