Apple is generating buzz for two of its top Apple TV+ series with unconventional promotions. The streaming service recently pulled off two attention-grabbing stunts to hype up the return of Severance and the season finale of Silo. Severance In-Store Promo Leading up to the second season premiere of the quirky hit Severance, Apple surprised visitors at Grand Central Terminal in New York City with a pop-up promotion for the show. The highly-anticipated second season is set to return on Friday, January 17, three years after the debut of the first season. Apple created a glass cube showcasing workstations identical to the cubicles used by employees at "Lumon" in the show. Actors from Severance portrayed their characters as they engaged in various activities within the cube, giving visitors a taste of the show's unique world. Severance director Ben Stiller, along with several cast members including Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Patricia Arquette, Britt Lower, and Tramell Tillman, made appearances in character. The actors remained in character, immersing attendees in the Lumon Industries experience. In "Severance," Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, where employees undergo a procedure that separates their memories between work and personal life. As the mystery unfolds, Mark and his friends face the consequences of tampering with this boundary. Apple also offered a sneak peek of the upcoming season two premiere episode to Apple TV+ subscribers. The new season of Severance will premiere on Friday, January 17, marking the three-year anniversary of the first season's finale. Silo Character Catches Mavericks Game On another front, Apple's marketing team had some fun promoting the season 2 finale of Silo, its popular sci-fi series. An actor dressed as a character from the show was spotted courtside at a Dallas Mavericks NBA game. The appearance of the Silo character at the game, though smaller in scale compared to the Severance promotion, added a fun twist and built anticipation for the show's season finale. In a dystopian future, residents of a giant underground silo face shocking secrets as engineer Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) uncovers the truth about their world. Silo is based on Hugh Howey's bestselling book trilogy "Wool" and has been renewed for two additional seasons. Fans can expect the series to delve deeper into the narrative of Howey's trilogy.
