There have been reports on social media from iPhone users stating that their alarms are not playing a sound. Apple has acknowledged this issue and is currently working on a solution. Apple confirmed the problem to Joanna Stern of the Wall Street Journal, stating that they are aware of the issue causing some iPhone alarms to not sound as expected and are actively working on a fix. Users on social media have suggested that the problem may be related to the Attention Aware feature on iPhones. This feature is designed to lower the volume of alerts when the user is looking at the device. Some users speculate that the Attention Aware feature is mistakenly detecting attention and lowering the volume of alarms even when the user is asleep. Apple has not confirmed if this is the root cause of the problem. To disable Attention Aware Features, navigate to the Settings app, tap on Face ID & Passcode, and toggle off Attention Aware Features. Have you encountered this issue on your iPhone?
