Paradox Interactive recently announced the upcoming release of Surviving Mars Relaunched, an expanded version of the popular 2018 game, Surviving Mars. This new version will include the base game along with all the original DLCs, including content packs and radio stations. Existing owners of the original game will also have the opportunity to upgrade to the Relaunched version, although the original game will be removed from sale on all platforms once the new version is launched.
Surviving Mars: Relaunched is not just a simple repackage of the original game. It will feature significant improvements to the user interface as well as new content, such as the Martian Assembly. This dynamic political system, not available in the original release, will allow players to pass laws to address the needs and desires of the colonists, from domestic matters to achieving full Martian independence.
For current owners of Surviving Mars looking to upgrade to the Relaunched version, Paradox has announced a special discount. If you already own the original game, you will automatically receive a $20 discount on the standard price of $39.99, making the discounted price $19.99. However, please note that this discount is only applicable if you purchase the game on the same platform and use the same account as your original purchase.
In a review of Surviving Mars, Stefan highlighted the game’s ability to capture the challenges of colonizing Mars. He praised the game for its realistic portrayal of the difficulties involved in such a monumental task, especially with the inclusion of the unpredictable Mysteries of Mars.
