Indie developer Podoba Interactive has recently unveiled Dread Fields, a captivating first-person survival horror game with farming and life simulation elements.
Dread Fields is currently being developed for Windows PC, specifically for distribution on Steam, although an official release date has not yet been disclosed.
In a statement, the developer expressed their motivation behind the game, saying, “After the success of Back to Hearth, we felt compelled to explore the realm of horror within a rural setting. Our aim is to evoke sensations of solitude, seclusion, and underlying unease.”
Below is an overview of the game, along with its debut trailer:
Engage in tasks such as caring for animals, maintaining crops, and ensuring a tidy household, all while being surrounded by haunting apparitions. Prepare for a gradual descent into rural terror.
A Quiet Place
“The hustle and bustle of city life had become overwhelming for me. Hence, I made the decision to sell my urban abode and seek solace in the countryside. A peculiar elderly man sold me a residence with a modest farm in a remote location known as Dread Fields. At least here, I can evade any remnants of my past life. I anticipate that a simpler existence, physical labor, and fresh air will reignite joy within me.”
