When it comes to flight simulators, I prefer a simple experience. All I really want is a realistic simulation of various aircraft, accurate physics with dynamic weather effects, and a detailed, lifelike depiction of the entire planet Earth.
But for those looking for a more immersive experience, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is set to launch in November with added features like the ability to take on jobs within the simulator, such as crop dusting or firefighting. The official system requirements have now been revealed.
The system requirements for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 were shared on Twitter by the official Flight Simulator account.
I meet the minimum requirements, but fall short of the recommended specs. However, it’s not the fault of the Nvidia 2080, it’s just my own limitations.
With FS2024’s new career system, players can embark on a campaign-like journey starting anywhere in the world, taking on different jobs with the guidance of a mentor. From Search and Rescue missions to commercial flights and firefighting, there’s a variety of tasks to tackle.
The game’s world, referred to as the “digital twin,” has also received a visual upgrade with enhanced ground surfaces and added details like wildlife species and shipping traffic, developed in collaboration with Frontier, known for Planet Zoo and Zoo Tycoon.
I can’t wait to test the limits by crashing a plane into a giraffe in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, set for release on November 19th, 2024.
