Spotify Launches Web App for Oculus Quest
Spotify has introduced its own web app for Oculus Quest, allowing users to listen to music while immersed in virtual reality.
The new Spotify app for Quest functions as a progressive web app (PWA), essentially opening a browser window within the headset. While offline use is not supported like on mobile devices, this app eliminates the need to manually navigate to Spotify’s web player.
Users can enjoy music and podcasts in various ways, whether keeping the app minimized for background listening or maximizing it for video podcasts, lyrics display, artist exploration, and playlist management.
The Spotify web app for Quest is available for free, catering to both free and premium subscribers. It can be downloaded from the Horizon Store and is compatible with Quest 2 and newer models.
