Splitgate: Arena Reloaded gets a 17th December relaunch date

The Return of Splitgate: Arena Reloaded

After much anticipation, 1047 Games has announced that the relaunch of Splitgate 2 is set to debut on 17th December as Splitgate: Arena Reloaded. This relaunch brings with it a significant gameplay realignment and rebranding that aims to revitalize the game.

Splitgate: Arena Reloaded marks a departure from the original Splitgate 2 release back in June. The Factions and Abilities have been removed, shifting the focus towards a more traditional arena shooter experience. The game’s progression system has been reworked, and the Ranked system has undergone a complete overhaul.

Players can expect to explore five new maps and six fully reworked maps, each offering a unique gameplay experience. Additionally, new Arena modes have been introduced, including a Classic Arena mode with balanced starts and powerups. The game also features three new Primary Weapons and a powerful Railgun as a new addition to the arsenal.

Other improvements include reduced store prices, a simplified battle pass, and enhanced cosmetics quality. Design Director Josh Watson expressed his excitement for the relaunch, stating, “Splitgate has always been a love letter to the arena shooters we grew up playing. We’ve taken the best elements from Splitgate 1 and 2, refined them, and removed what didn’t work.”

Splitgate: Arena Reloaded is scheduled to launch on 17th December for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One. With this relaunch, 1047 Games aims to recapture the success of the original game’s open beta tests and deliver an improved gaming experience to players.
