Sony Announces Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Coming to PC in 2025
Sony has officially announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be making its way to PC on January 20, 2025. The highly anticipated game will be available for purchase on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Developed by Nixxes in collaboration with Insomniac Games, the PC version of Spider-Man 2 will come equipped with a wide range of PC-specific features. These features are expected to include support for mouse and keyboard controls, ultra-widescreen display options, enhanced ray-tracing capabilities, and much more.
Compared to the previous PC ports of Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales, Spider-Man 2’s system requirements are expected to see a significant increase. This is due to the fact that Spider-Man 2 was designed specifically for the PlayStation 5, taking full advantage of the console’s capabilities such as the Web Wings for faster travel.
Furthermore, the PC version of Spider-Man 2 will include all the updates and additional content that have been released for the original PS5 version post-launch. This will include new suits, a New Game+ mode, Ultimate Levels, new Symbiote Suit Styles, and more.
Although there are no plans for additional story content for Spider-Man 2, the game has received rave reviews from both critics and players alike. Insomniac’s decision to focus on delivering a solid sequel akin to Miles Morales has been well received.
Spider-Man 2 has been a huge success on the PlayStation 5, selling 2.5 million copies within the first 24 hours of its release. Its arrival on PC was inevitable given Sony’s overall strategy, and it is expected to be a hit among PC gamers as well.
In our review of Spider-Man 2, we praised the game for building upon its predecessor’s success and delivering an engaging story that pushes the characters forward.
