Exciting news has been buzzing around TSA towers today with the announcement of the Switch 2, but not everyone is thrilled about plumbers in go-karts or customizable consoles. For those who prefer multiplayer extraction shooters, the upcoming playtest of Exoborne by Sharkmob, the team behind Bloodhunt, may be more up your alley.

Exoborne features players in mechanical Exo-Rigs, versatile tools designed for survival and combat that can be customized for different missions. The game was showcased at last year’s Gamescom, with intense storms adding visual impact and challenging gameplay scenarios.

The game offers plenty of gunplay and action, drawing inspiration from games like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Bioware’s Anthem. With a competitive genre market, the playtest aims to gather feedback and generate interest prior to the official launch later this year.

Executive Producer Brynley Gibson expressed excitement about the upcoming playtest, stating, “By entering this stage of open collaboration with the community, we’re eager to gather invaluable insights and feedback that will drive us to elevate the game to new heights.”

The Exoborne playtest is scheduled from February 12th to February 17th, exclusively on PC. While the game will launch on console and desktop, the playtest is PC-only. Sign up for the playtest and be sure to watch the new trailer for a sneak peek.
