Predecessor Moving from Open Beta to Full Release on August 20th

The shooter-MOBA hybrid, Predecessor, is set to transition from open beta to a full release on August 20th, as confirmed by Omeda Studios. The game draws inspiration from Epic Games’ Paragon, expanding upon the concepts introduced in the now-defunct MOBA. Since entering open beta in March, Predecessor has garnered a player base of over a million individuals.

Throughout the open beta phase, Omeda Studios introduced new features such as Ranked mode, Brawl mode, and two additional heroes, Terra and Aurora. The development team has also implemented various balance adjustments and introduced new skins for players to enjoy. With a roster of 35 playable characters, each possessing unique abilities and skills, Predecessor offers a diverse gameplay experience. The game is built on Unreal Engine 5 and supports cross-platform play, allowing gamers to connect with friends regardless of their chosen platform. Players can acquire in-game skins using virtual currency.

  • Truly Unique Gameplay – Combining elements of a MOBA with the mechanics of a third-person shooter/brawler, Predecessor delivers an immersive experience that sets it apart from traditional MOBAs, emphasizing teamwork and strategy.
  • Over 35 Playable Characters – Predecessor boasts a robust character roster featuring over 30 distinct Heroes with individual play styles and abilities.
  • The Only Unreal Engine 5 MOBA – Developed on Unreal Engine 5, Predecessor stands as the sole MOBA crafted on the latest iteration of Unreal’s game engine, offering stunning graphics for both current and previous generation consoles.
  • Play with Friends Anywhere – Designed with cross-play functionality, Predecessor enables console and PC players to join forces, promoting a unified gaming experience.
  • Earnable In-Game Content – Players can unlock a plethora of rewards, including custom skins, through gameplay or in-game purchases.
