Apple purchased the music recognition and discovery tool Shazam in 2017 for $400 million. In a recent update, Shazam now automatically adds recognized songs to a playlist in Spotify or Apple Music. This makes it even easier to keep track of your favorite tunes.
The latest version of the Shazam app, 18.9, introduced this feature where all recognized songs are added to a playlist named “My Shazam Tracks” in your preferred music streaming service.

- To get started, open Shazam and go to the My Music tab.
- Access the Settings and connect Shazam to Apple Music or Spotify.
- Enable the option to sync your songs to Spotify.
- Toggle the sync off and on to add previous Shazams to the playlist. Refresh the app to see the changes.
- Ensure iCloud Sync is enabled to sync recognized songs across your Apple devices.

You can now easily access your “My Shazam Tracks” playlist on Spotify or Apple Music. If you haven’t used Shazam before, follow the steps outlined in this article to add it to your Control Center for quick song recognition.
With Shazam, you’ll never miss a song whether you’re out dining, driving, or watching TV. Enjoy the convenience of having all your Shazamed tracks in one place on your favorite music streaming platform!
