Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 60W Fast Charging Test Result Leaked

Get ready for the upcoming release of Samsung’s Galaxy S26 smartphones, with the Ultra model receiving a highly anticipated upgrade. However, recent information has cast some doubt on the extent of this improvement.

Initial reports suggested a jump from 45W to 60W charging for the Ultra model, which promised a significant enhancement. Yet, new testing results shared by Ice Universe reveal that the phone only reaches 75% battery capacity in 30 minutes with the new 60W charger.

While this may seem impressive, it’s worth noting that under normal conditions, the Galaxy S25 Ultra achieved a 70% charge in the same timeframe. This marginal difference raises questions about the actual impact of the additional 15W charging speed.

Furthermore, it appears that the enhanced charging speed will be exclusive to the S26 Ultra, with the S26 and S26+ models sticking to 25W and 45W charging, respectively.

The battery capacity of the Ultra model remains a mystery, with rumors speculating a slight increase to 5200mAh or a continuation of the 5000mAh capacity.

However, there may be hope for a significant upgrade in wireless charging, with a potential increase from 15W to 25W. The key question remains whether this upgrade will include Qi2 magnetic charging (similar to MagSafe) integrated into the device or if it will still require a separate case for activation.

To stay competitive with the Google Pixel 10 series, which features embedded Qi2 charging (referred to as Pixelsnap by Google), Samsung may need to incorporate this feature directly into their phones.
