A brand new trailer has been released for the upcoming release of Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake. Preorders are now available for the game, set to be launched by Koei Tecmo on October 24th for PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

The trailer provides an in-depth look at the various systems and features of the game. Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a long-standing series of historical grand strategy games that dates back to 1985, offering players the chance to lead armies in ancient China’s Warring States period. This setting is also featured in Koei’s popular Dynasty Warriors franchise, which is set to be reimagined with Dynasty Warriors: Origins in January 2025.

While fans of Romance of the Three Kingdoms have their own favorite installments, the 8th edition remains one of the most beloved. The remake of Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 has received more than just a basic remaster, with added content and features to enhance strategic and roleplaying elements, as well as expanding the number of playable scenarios.

The introduction of the Wisdom trait provides a new layer of player progression, increasing as players engage in battles and interactions with other officers. The Duels feature has also been improved, now accompanied by Debates that offer non-combat political challenges for astute strategists.

In addition to updated officer graphics, the game’s scenic beauty is portrayed through a blend of ink paintings and 2D/3D visuals, offering a stunning visual representation of the Three Kingdoms world.
