PRAGMATA gets new info for hacking mechanics

PRAGMATA

Capcom recently revealed exciting new details about the upcoming sci-fi action game PRAGMATA, showcasing the fascinating world of hacking within the game.

Here’s a summary of the latest updates:

Players will face various challenges as protagonists Hugh and Diana attempt to escape from the lunar research station. Among these challenges are the Walkers, humanoid bots based on the M4 series, known for their versatility and effectiveness in support roles. The improved M4AM design allows them to function seamlessly in low-gravity environments.

Another formidable foe players will encounter is the SectorGuard, a massive bot designed by Delphi Corporation’s military division to protect key installations. To defeat the SectorGuard, players must utilize Diana’s hacking abilities alongside Hugh’s agility to outmaneuver its attacks.

A new hacking ability, the Overdrive Protocol, will be introduced during the battle against the SectorGuard. This powerful ability allows Diana to hack multiple enemies simultaneously, exposing their vulnerabilities and immobilizing them temporarily. Players can also collect Hack Nodes to enhance Diana’s hacking prowess and strategically weaken enemies in combat.

Excitingly, fans will have the opportunity to experience PRAGMATA firsthand at Gamescom 2025 and other upcoming events, including PAX West 2025. Additionally, a special “Hacking Minigame” is available on the official website for players to try out the unique hacking mechanics.

PRAGMATA is scheduled for release in 2026 on Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, promising an immersive gaming experience with innovative hacking elements.
