Pico 4 Ultra Set to Compete with Quest 3 in Europe and Asia
Pico has announced the release of Pico 4 Ultra, a new VR headset that will go head-to-head with the upcoming Quest 3 in Europe and Asia. This strategic move comes just as rumors swirl about Meta’s plans to unveil a more affordable Quest 3S.
Pre-orders for Pico 4 Ultra will be available in Europe from September 6th to September 19th, priced at £529 / €599. With similar specs and pricing to Quest 3, Pico is aiming to capture a share of the VR market in key European countries including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and more.
Customers in the supported regions can place their pre-orders through various online retailers such as Amazon, MediaMarkt, and Currys. General sales will commence on September 20th, with in-store availability at select retailers.

As an added incentive, pre-order customers will receive a complimentary set of Pico Motion Trackers and four VR games. The Motion Trackers, typically priced at £79 / €89, offer enhanced tracking capabilities for a more immersive experience.
While Pico 4 Ultra will be available in select Asian markets, a US launch is not currently planned due to legal issues faced by parent company ByteDance. Meanwhile, Meta is gearing up to introduce Quest 3S, which is expected to replace Quest 2 as the company’s budget-friendly option.
