RATATAN: A New Rhythmic Roguelike Game Coming in 2025
Hiroyuki Kotani, known for his work on PATAPON, has joined forces with Tokyo Virtual Theory to introduce RATATAN. This exciting new game is a rhythmic roguelike that challenges players to use instruments and the beat of the music to combat enemies. Scheduled for release in 2025, RATATAN will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series XS, and Switch.
RATATAN’s roguelike aspect shines through in its unique reward system. After each battle, players earn different power-ups and awards, which vary with each playthrough. These rewards are bestowed upon the adorable Cobuns who accompany the Ratatan on their journey. Players must strategically utilize these power-ups in the trials and battles that lie ahead. Additionally, each Ratatan possesses its own set of abilities, requiring players to switch between them to overcome various challenges.
RATATAN will be published by Game Source Entertainment, a reputable publisher based in Hong Kong.
